October / November Favourites 2016...

Hi Guys,

Happy December!! It really is the most wonderful time of the year and to celebrate this month I'm doing less product reviews and more Christmas related blog posts so be sure to subscribe to make sure you don't miss any! It's going to be a jam-packed very exciting month!

Apologies for not doing my October Favourites last month. It was bad timing with a hospital admittance but I'm back now, feeling better and ready to show you all my favourite things from October and of course, November.

It's gonna be a long one! I'll try and keep it entertaining.

Barely There Bras

I have always been rather self conscious about the size of my breasts. (talk about starting with a bang)! I wouldn't say I don't have any, I'm a cup size C so actually in comparison to the rest of my body they probably aren't that bad but I've always worn padded bras to give myself a confidence boost.

As padded bras are just something I grew up with I've always bought them without really thinking. I have one unpadded bra which is specifically for when I'm on my period because they swell but I wore it the other day for work and I was sooooo comfortable and so I decided to start wearing unpadded bras. I don't really care what my body looks like to other people anymore, Elliot loves my figure and so as long as he is happy why should I care what anyone else thinks? So I've been more confident lately and have really enjoyed the comfort of 'barely there bras'.

I especially love the ones with no bone structure or support in them at all, literally letting everything hang free. Best feeling ever. I never want to wear a padded bra ever again. Maybe I won't wear unsupported bras all the time though because I don't want to have saggy breasts! No way José!

Television

Elliot and I moved into our flat about a year ago and ever since then we have been using catch up TV apps or Netflix and YouTube to watch any programs.
We didn't really feel the need for television as we are out working a lot and we don't really watch the soaps or Saturday night TV and so it didn't seem worth it but this year we didn't want to miss out on the Christmas films and so we gave in. We got a TV licence and a Freeview box and I am loving it. I love watching crappy daytime TV and catching up on I'm a celeb. There. I said it.

Darker Lipsticks

I've always been a fan of Autumnal lipsticks as opposed to bright or light colours. I love a dark rich colour such as berry reds or warm neutral tones.
I've been finding myself bringing out some of last years autumn favourites.
One in particular being Heather Shimmer by Rimmel Lasting Finish. Number 066.

Blogging Made Easy

Blogging made easy was a free book that I was sent by HTBlogger and actually it has been really useful. I guess each blogger has their own way of promoting their blog and engaging with their followers but you kind of stick to your own routine and pick up your own habits but after reading a guide on blogging which I hadn't done previously I actually learnt a lot of new techniques and my page views have doubled since trying them out. So I'm loving this book and highly recommend it to other bloggers, especially people starting out!

Autumn / Winter Fashion

I much prefer this time of year for fashion over Spring / Summer. I LOVE to layer clothes and drown myself in knitted scarves, woolly hats and oversized fur coats. I like knitting myself new scarves to wear, I love long sleeved tops and jumpers, cute skirts with woolly tights are my jam. Every year without fail, I go for the same outfits.

Mustard colours, burnt oranges, festive reds. I just love it. The best time of year when you don't have to worry about your figure in the crop top that everyone's wearing and no more fake tanned bed-sheets.
Just cosy clothing, by the fire with a glass of red, watching TV, snuggled up with the other half, looking pale but feeling great.
(I say by the fire but I quite blatantly have central heating but you get my jist)

PS: I'm also loving metallics and velvet lately. With the run up to Christmas it is perfectly timed. :)

Healthy Food

As I said I have recently been in hospital with Pancreas problems and so my doctor advised me to go on a healthier diet. I have been living on broccoli and spinach and all things disgusting but I feel so much better in myself for finally doing something that I've wanted to do for a long time.
I've also stopped eating meat so I guess I'm a vegetarian now. I just much prefer quorn products. I only recently discovered them and I'm hooked! Plus I get to help the animals in the process. Win, win.

Work

By work I mean my part-time job at a pub. Obviously I love my blogging but I wanted a little something to get me out the house and to help save a little bit of extra money for the future. We have a lot of things to save for such as the wedding, a house, a new car, kids when we are ready and so it just seemed a sensible thing to do.

Although it's only bar work and I had previously done that, for some reason I really struggled to settle into it. I was just doing everything wrong and so I panicked a lot at first but now that I know almost all the procedures and stuff I am enjoying it a lot more.

I get excited to go to work now and it always flies by and I've met some great people through it too, it's nice to be having a social life again!

Lee Stafford Chopstick Styler

I recently wrote a blog post about this so I won't bore you with the details. I basically got a new hair curler and I friggin love it. Zoella featured it in her November favourites too! If you want to know more about it just click here.

Festivities

I love this time of year. Christmas is just so much more exciting for me since meeting Elliot. He is such a big kid. It's not so much Christmas day that we get excited for but the run up to Christmas.
We like decorating the house, watching Christmas films, visiting family, the food and drink. It's just a very loving family time of year.

Speaking of Christmas drinks, the Starbucks red cups are back and I couldn't be happier. I've tried the gingerbread latte and the toffee nut latte and there are so many more I need to try. I also desperately need to go to Costa and get the Lindt hot chocolate. Omg.

But other than Christmas we have also really enjoyed Halloween this year. I have never celebrated Halloween. I was never allowed to go trick or treating and I had never carved a pumpkin but this year I did!

I didn't go trick or treating but Elliot and I sat and carved pumpkins together! It's disgusting but was a fun activity.
We also bought home decor and threw a little get together for the neighbours.
I just really got into the spirit of it for once. Any excuse for novelty clothing and such.

I also got sent these AMAZING cupcakes by Betty's. I'm seriously excited to see their Christmas range. These were the best cakes and I feel very lucky to have been sent them to sample. Yummy indeed.

This actually turned out to be not very long at all.
I can't really think of anything else at the moment so I suppose we shall catch up on another favourites next month. I'm sure I'll have plenty for my December favourites!

Until next time,
